Sindh government on Monday re-affirmed its decision to hold local bodies' elections in March 2014 with the ban on the government jobs called off. According to the reports, Sindh cabinet, during a meeting, gave a go-ahead for the local bodies' elections to be held during March 2014; the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will formally be apprised about the cabinet's decision.
Sindh cabinet also terminated the ban on government jobs with effect from June-July of last year. Meantime, Election Commis-sion has once again delayed the schedule of local bodies' polls in the province. The new schedule is likely to be issued on December 13.
