The government-in-waiting has indicated to the caretaker setup that the latter will be well within its constitutional rights to make changes in different duties with a view to plugging fiscal deficit of 2012-13, according to well-placed sources. In his meeting with President Asif Zardari on the sidelines of a luncheon in honour of visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, the prime minister-in-waiting, Nawaz Sharif, broadly indicated that his government would not raise objections to any change in any fiscal measure that was initiated to reduce fiscal deficit.
