Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas on Sunday directed the Secretary Home and IGP Sindh to make strict security arrangements on celebrations to be organised to mark the commencement of the new calendar year "2013".

He said that apprehensions of aerial firing and reckless motorcycle riding must be in accordance with the rules and nobody should be allowed to act unlawfully, he added, a statement said.

Raja Abbas also appealed to the people, especially youths not to join illegal and unethical activities during New Year celebrations.
