Youth Empowering Spaces (YES) is a project of Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Sindh being implemented by Habib University Foundation (HUF). Under the dynamic leadership of Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Minister for Youth Affairs, a Residential Camp titled 'SOWJHRO' was conducted for the youth of Jamshoro and Matiari from 23rd December till 30th December 2012.

Thirty-five youth working in Community Based Organisations (CBOs), NGOs and Village Organisations participated in the Camp. The Closing Ceremony of the Project was organised on 30th December 2012 in which the participating youth enthusiastically presented their community service projects designed during the camp. Youth demonstrated their high level of willingness and commitments to improve their lives as well as serve their communities through their community-based initiatives. Youth shared that for them it was a unique experience to learn in a friendly, energy filled, respectful and yet a disciplined environment.

In their messages, Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari, Minister for Youth Affairs- Government of Sindh and Shoaib Ahmad Siddique, Secretary Youth Affairs - Government of Sindh highlighted that it is first of its own kind initiative which has provided an excellent opportunity to youth of Sindh to empower them.-PR
