The futures spread decreased by 120 basis points to 11.49 percent during the outgoing week ended December 28, 2012. However, trading activity on the futures counter witnessed an upward trend and the average daily volumes surged by 299 percent to 20.55 million shares compared to 5.15 million shares a week earlier.

The average daily trading value also gone up by 261.40 percent as it stood at Rs 1.468 billion as against Rs 406 million during last week.
