An application has been filed before the Lahore High Court with a request to fix early hearing of a pending petition challenging appointment of Professor Dr Asad Aslam Khan of King Edward Medical University (KEMU). Petitioner, Noshab A Khan, advocate, stated that delay in the decision of the petition was increasing anxiety among the faculty of the university.

Khan said that respondent was holding five extremely important posts simultaneously and was affecting the quality of service.
