Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain telephoned Anis Qaimkhani and offered condolences on the death of his father, Hidayat Ali Khan. A press release issued by the party quoted Altaf Hussain as saying that sacrifices rendered by late Hidayat Ali Khan and other members of his family for the movement were unforgettable and all party workers were sad on this occassion. The MQM chief prayed Almighty Allah to shower His blessings on the soul of Qaimkhani's father and bless his soul.

He directed members of MQM's co-ordination committee and office-bearers of the party's Hyderabad Zone to make arrangements for the funeral, besides urging all party workers to attend the funeral prayers. Meanwhile, members of MQM's Co-ordination Committee also condoled with Anis Qaimkhani on the death of his father. They sympathised with the bereaved family and said that their grief was equally shared by all MQM workers.
