Robbers looted over Rs 4.9 million from a private bank's branch situated in Administrative Society in Tipu Sultan Area in the jurisdiction of Tipu Sultan Police Station. According to details, a group of six bandits stormed into the bank in broad daylight and decamped with Rs 4.9 millions after taking the staff members hostage. They also took away the weapons of the security guards deployed at the bank branch.

Sources said that robbers also took away the CCTV footages.
