At least five personnel of tribal Khasadar Force were injured in two consecutive explosions near the vehicle of a political official in Sheikhwal area in Landikotal area of Khyber Agency on Friday. Four road side remote controlled bomb attacks have been reported during the current month on the vehicles of Khasadar Force in teshil Landikotal near the Pak Afghan border.

Two remote controlled blasts carried through Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) occurred in Shiekhwal area. The first blast targeted the vehicle of Subedar Abbas Ali Shinwari, who narrowly escaped the explosion, which slightly damaged his vehicle while the side walls of the bridge destroyed.

The official of the political administration was on routine patrolling when his vehicle was attacked with IED, planted by unknown militants on the roadside. However, no casualty has been reported in the first blast while the second blast resulted in injuring of five personnel. One of the injured has been referred to Peshawar. After the incident the levies contingents rushed to the spot and collected evidences of the first blast when another planted remote control explosive exploded near them.
