A constitutional petition has been moved in the Sindh High Court over the death the youth who leaped to death from the State Life building to escape fire. The petitioner says that the youth kept holding onto the window for 10-15 minutes after fire erupted in the building and yet no attempt was made to save him.

He could had been saved by using the jumping sheet, the petitioner says. Sindh government and relevant civil institutions are named as respondents in the petition. The court issued the notices to the respondents after hearing petitioner's plea.
