Rangers on Friday launched search operation in Manghopir area and arrested several suspects by recovering illegal arms from their possession. On a tip off regarding the presence of some activists of a banned outfit Ranger's personnel cordoned off the area and picked up over 50 suspected persons. Sources said that after initial interrogation, Rangers released 40 detained suspects and arrested more than 10 persons after recovering illegal arms from their possession.

The suspects were transferred to undisclosed location for investigation. During the operation, the roads leading to Kausar Niazi Colony in Manghopir were blocked for the traffic while movement of residents was also restricted.
