At least seven people were killed and many others injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus on National Highway near Qazi Ahmed, Nawabshah here on Friday. Police said the bus was on its way to Abbottabad from Karachi when some unidentified armed persons opened fire on it near Qazi Ahmed. At least seven persons were killed while many others injured in the incident.

After the incident, the dead and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari took notice of the incident. While condemning this brutal act of firing on a passenger bus, the President called for a report into this unfortunate incident. He directed the authorities concerned to bring the culprits to justice.
