Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) president Nawaz Sharif has criticised the government for highly critical law and order situation in Karachi's one of the oldest neighbourhoods, Lyari, and Balochistan, according to Aaj News. Addressing a public gathering in Taxila, he lashed out at Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and said, "President Zardari has made you (Gilani) a puppet and pawn for his vested interests."

He said that the nation had to launch a long march for restoration of judiciary and added that people should be ready to participate in another long march, which would be against the PPP-led coalition government for supremacy of law. He said that Zardari would have to return 600 million dollars to country while and Gilani would have to write a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against his boss. Earlier, addressing the rally, Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan criticised Imran Khan and said that his comrades would abandon him anytime soon.
