Police officers of the district have been issued special cell numbers for convenience of general public on the direction of the inspector general police Punjab. According to a spokesman of the police department, these mobile numbers could not be changed with transfer of any SPOs/SDPOs and SHOs while they were also directed to keep their special mobile phone numbers open round-the-clock so that people could contact them in case of any emergency.
