The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) will earn $450 million annually after Kunnar-Pasaki gas oilfield starts its full production. According to sources in OGDCL, after the completion of first phase of the gas field with the production of 100 Million Cubic Feet per Day (MMCFD) gas and 135 ton per day of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), its annual earning with current production are estimated at around $150 millions.

Total expected gas production from the field is 286 Mmcfd, which would be fully operative in 2013 and its total earnings would be $450 million per annum. The Kunner-Pasakhi Deep and Tando Allahyar integrated project would produce 286 mmcfd, 387 tons of LPG, 400 tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and 4,500 barrels of crude oil.

The OGDCL has recently commenced LPG production from Kunnar Pasaki gas field from which initially 135 ton LPG is being produced, which would be enhanced to 387 tons per day. The OGDCL's net sales increased to Rs 155.631 billion in 2010-11 as compared to Rs 142.572 billion in the 2009-10. Net profit before taxation increased to Rs 90.982 billion compared to Rs 88.553 billion in the corresponding period last year.

Net profit after taxation increased to Rs 63.527 billion compared to Rs 59.177 billion in the corresponding period of preceding year translating into an earnings per share of Rs 14.77. Kunnar-Pasakhi is among the leading projects from where government is planning to bring 800 Mmcfd gas into the system. Besides, 186 MMCFD additional gas from Kunnar, the petroleum ministry has planned to bring 160 MMCFD from Uch gas field, 30 MMCFD from Sinjhoro, 30 MMCFD gas from Rehman gas field, 30 MMCFD from Mehr, 30 MMCFD from Makori, 10 MMCFD from Nur-Bagla, 6 MMCFD from Jhakro, 15 MMCFD from Jhal Magsi, 10 MMCFD from Sajawal, 20 MMCFD from Kandkot and 120 MMCFD from Sara west.
