President Asif Ali Zardari returned home on Monday after medical treatment in Dubai, Sindh home minister Manzoor Wasan said. "A special plane carrying President Zardari, his daughter Aseefa and personal staff landed at a Pakistan Air Force Masroor base," Manzoor Wasan told AFP. The 56-year-old Zardari flew to the United Arab Emirates on December 6 after falling ill in the midst of a major scandal Zardari back

over alleged attempts by a close aide to seek US help to limit the power of military. The President left for Bilawal House, his residence, by road after arriving amid very tight security. "There has been no meeting scheduled at the moment and the President will take rest at his residence," Wasan said.

Zardari, 56, was discharge from a Dubai hospital on Wednesday. Officials say he was treated for transient ischemic attack, in which blood supply to a part of the nervous system is cut off, but not for long enough to kill tissue as in a stroke. His office says he suffered numbness and twitching in his left arm and had lost consciousness for a few seconds.
