He alleged that they have increased LPG prices due to lack of implementation of price mechanism by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resource and OGRA. With this increase, domestic price of LPG will be increased by Rs 1.5 per kilo, 11.8 kilo cylinder by Rs 18 and 45.4 kg cylinder by Rs 68 in the country, he added.
Hadi noted that LPG sale would be restricted to 30 to 40 percent in the country further aggravating situation for the distributors and retailers. This would enhance pressure on CNG sector, he noted. He urged the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to take tough action for reducing LPG prices in the country to prevent wood cutting and save forests.
