CIA operatives would not be allowed to roam freely in Pakistan. According to Aaj News, this message was conveyed to US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who met him at General Headquarters here on Wednesday. Quoting unnamed sources, the channel claimed that General Kayani turned down the US demand to open a consulate in Quetta.

During the meeting, General Kayani and the US ambassador discussed bilateral relations, Afghan situation and matters related to Pakistan. Meanwhile, the channel also said that the Foreign Office rejected visa applications of 12 US officials. According to the report, the visa applications were turned down on a report by country's security agencies.
