Speaking to a party's policymaking body, Rabita committee, in London and Karachi simultaneously, Altaf Hussain accused the PPP-led government of playing a "heinous game" against the MQM and other political rivals. He claimed that his party stood with the government during the most difficult times but now the government had stabbed the MQM in the back.
The MQM chief added it was the responsibility of intellectuals, political analysts and TV anchor persons to inform the people about conspiracies against the Army, ISI and other institutions responsible for country's security. He urged people to forge unity, stand up and show solidarity with the national security institutions.
