Although, hardly a few official words about that meeting were released, the meeting, according to sources took up the highly sensitive issue of the killing of two Pakistani citizens at the hands of US Consulate employee Raymond Davis and that of third Pakistani who was crushed to death by the unidentified driver of a consulate vehicle, which came to Davis' help.
According to sources, the top civilian and military leadership were on unanimous in their approach to the issue that the matter would be proceeded in the light of court verdict. The sources further said that different aspects of the Davis case were discussed in the light of reports of the Foreign Office and security agencies. The sources said that during the meeting, the Pak-US strategic relations and different aspects of the war on terror also came under discussion. They also discussed the matters of recent meetings with Senator John Kerry about Raymond Davis.
After this meeting, the sources said that Foreign Office would adopt a comprehensive policy on the issue of Raymond Davis. For this strategy to take a firm shape, the government has also sought time of three weeks from the Lahore High Court. The top civil and military leadership also discussed the military operations in Waziristan and security situation of the country. The sources said the top civil and military leadership seemed determined that they would not accept any pressure.
