The unabated killing spree is continue, as three more people including a doctor were targeted in different parts of the metropolitan on Thursday. According to police sources, Dr Imran, 30, son of Fasih was gunned down by unknown pillion riders when he was on the way to home from Lyari General Hospital in his car (AHM-561) at Mehmood Shah Road near Khaliq Jummah Hall on Thursday.

Police said the victim sustained fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. In another incident a man was shot dead in Frontier Colony in the limits of Pirabad Police Station by unknown attackers. Police said the victim, who was identified as Akbar Shah, 40, son of Ameer Jan and a resident of Noorani Area, Frontier Colony, received several bullets and died on the spot.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for post-mortem. Police said the victim, who was the father of four, was ex service man. An FIR No 37/11 was registered against unknown assailants on the complaint of his brother Mahmood Shah. An Afghan was gunned down and other injured by unidentified armed men at MPR Colony in the jurisdiction of Orangi Town police station. The body of the deceased, who was identified as Fakhar Uddin, 39, son of Mohammad Khan, was shifted to ASH for autopsy. Police said the victim, who was the father of two children, might be killed on personal enmity. No case was registered till filing the report.
