Aaj News welcomes Absar Alam as a senior news analyst. He would be hosting one of its News top current affairs shows. Absar has contributed vastly to many leading channels and news publications.

Absar's hardwork earned him the recognition when in 2005 he won highly prestigious fellowship for journalists, Nieman, and went for a year of studies to Harvard University, which is one of the best international seats of learning and knowledge in the world.

During his Nieman year at Harvard, Absar studied politics and culture, human rights and international security and political economy at Kennedy School of Government.

Absar has extensively reported for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Al-Ahram of Egypt, and daily Tokyo Shimbun. He spent a year in Singapore working as Deputy Editor for monthly Asian Water, a subsidiary of daily Asia News.
