Absar's hardwork earned him the recognition when in 2005 he won highly prestigious fellowship for journalists, Nieman, and went for a year of studies to Harvard University, which is one of the best international seats of learning and knowledge in the world.
During his Nieman year at Harvard, Absar studied politics and culture, human rights and international security and political economy at Kennedy School of Government.
