The ongoing uprising had unnerved India and the day was not far off when it would be forced to leave the occupied territory, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Geelani has said. He told media in Srinagar that the visit of the interlocutors appointed by India to occupied Kashmir was mere an eyewash to mislead the international community.

He also announced a new protest calendar in connection with the Quit Kashmir Campaign, which includes shutdowns, protests and sit-ins, KMS reported on Monday.

According to the calendar, people will observe complete shutdown and Black Day on October 27 against the landing of Indian troops in Jammu and Kashmir and march towards the UN Observers' Office.

On October 28 and October 29, people will resume their normal activities. He said that complete strike would be observed on October 30 and October 31 with peaceful protests from Maghrib to Isha would be held against Indian state terrorism and human rights violations. On November 1, people have been asked to observe complete strike and hold peaceful protests from Maghrib to Isha. No strike will be observed on November 2.

On November 3, Kashmiris have been asked to observe a complete strike against the arrests by Indian forces, however, no strike shall be observed on November 4, he added. Syed Ali Gilani called upon the people to observe civil curfew on November 5, November 6, November 7 and November 8. He urged people to pay tributes to Jammu martyrs who were killed on November 6, 1947.

"On the same day Internet users will mail letters to the US President, Barak Obama, against illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India and stage protests to invite Obama's attention towards Kashmir dispute, who will be visiting India on November 6," the veteran leader added.
