The Lahore High Court, Administration Committee (AC) which met with Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif in chair has removed a civil judge Saeed Ahmad Awan, currently posted in Yazman, from service and a major penalty of compulsory retirement from service was imposed on an AD&SJ Gabriel Francis of Bhakkar.

The AC meeting also imposed major penalty of reduction to a lower grade and post from civil judge 1st class (BS18) to civil judge 3rd class (BS17) upon Akram-ul-Haq Chaudhry, civil judge class-I of Kehror Lal Esan for a period of two years. It issued notice for enhancement of minor penalty into one of the major penalties to Muhammad Tariq, civil judge, Khanewal and Sharafat Ali Nasir, civil judge, Mianwali.

The committee decided to initiate fresh inquiry against two civil judges already made officer on special duty (OSD). They included Faiz Ahmad Ranjha and Faisal Jamil. It resolved to initiate disciplinary proceedings against ten judicial officers on different charges. They included M Khalid Mahmood Warraich, civil judge, Amjad Ali Shah, AD&SJ, Muhammad Shafique Butt, AD&SJ, Sarwat Mumtaz Syeda, civil judge, Muhammad Saleem Sheikh, civil judge, Muhammad Aslam, civil judge, Amir Mukhtar Gondal, civil judge, Khuda Yar, civil judge, Manzar Hayat, civil judge, and Muhammad Shafique Chaudhry, AD&SJ.

The committee dropped disciplinary proceedings against Muhammad Ittefaq Abbasi, AD&SJ Khushab, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, AD&SJ Lodhran, Barkat Ali, civil judge Chishtian, and Ilyas Raza Nasir, civil judge Malakwal.

Recommendation of examination committee for appointment of Muhammad Yousuf as civil judge-cum-judicial magistrate was also rejected by the administration committee for involvement of the said candidate in immoral activities. The committee promoted two additional district and sessions judges to the rank of district and sessions judges. They included Hafeez Ullah Khan of Sammundri and Abid Hussain of Pindi Bhattian.
