It is pertinent to mention that a no confidence motion against Raja Farooq, lead by Sardar Attiq Ahmed Khan, had already been moved in the assembly's secretariat and a voting in this regard would be held this week in Muzzafarabad. Raja Farooq alleges that he is being given a tough time for his pursuance of corruption cases and determination to bring the culprits to task.
On the other hand, as many as 18 AJK ministers have reportedly submitted their resignations to their party chief Sardar Attiq, who has been nominated for the post of prime minister for the second time. Former premier Sardar Attiq lost his post in a similar no confidence motion.
The 18 ministers who submitted their resignations include: Chaudhry Mohammad Yousuf, Sardar Khalid Sayaf, Naheed Tariq, Dr Najeeb Naqi, Colonel (retd) Nasim Khan, Abdul Rasheed Abassi, Hafiz Hamid Raza, Pir Attiq-ur-Rehman, Murtaza Ali Gilani, Chaudhry Mohammad Ismail, Ali Shan Sooni, Mohammad Shafiq Jaral, Chaudhry Rokhsar, Farooq Tahir, Abdul Qayum Niazi, Nasreen Rani, Shama Malik and Malik Nawaz.
Sardar Attiq led Muslim Conference claims that it has the support of as many as 29 members and a no confidence motion would also be moved against the assembly's speaker.
