Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday approved the composition of high powered Inquiry Committee to probe into the allegations of illegalities and fixation of responsibility in award of contract for import of LNG. According to a statement from the PM House, the Prime Minister took the decision in implementation of the judgement of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in suo motu Case No 5 of 2010.

The committee to be headed by Secretary Commerce Zafar Mehmood, will comprise Legislative Advisor of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Azam Warraich, and former Chairman Ogra Munir Ahmad as its members.
