Petroleum Secretary Kamran Lashari has been appointed as new chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC), Business Recorder has learnt. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources had moved a summary a few days back to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani seeking approval for appointment of Petroleum Secretary Kamran Lashari as new chairman of OGDC BoD.

Sources said that after approval by Prime Minister, a notification has been issued. Kamran Lashari confirmed to Business Recorder that he has been notified as new chairman of the board of OGDC.
