Pakistan's Ambassador to Libya, Jamil Ahmed Khan has been unanimously elected as the Dean of Commonwealth Countries in the month of April.

According to a message received here from Tripoli, an announcement in this regard came from Sir Vincent Fean, the Patron of Commonwealth countries in Libya and Ambassador of UK, at a meeting attended by all the member countries of the Commonwealth.

Ambassador Jamil Khan will be the Chairman of the Commonwealth forum in Libya for a one-year tenure. Applauding Ambassador Jamil Khan's efforts in Libya, Sir Vincent said, Commonwealth in Libya has challenges to pursue the cause of enhancing the culture, traditions and economic interests but Pakistan Ambassador would add value to the common cause of all the ambassadors of the Commonwealth countries.
