Wapda's fast-moving striker Arif Mehmood and Khan Research Laboratories KRL's upcoming winger Kalim Ullah Khan finished as joint leading marksmen of 20th NBP National Football Challenge Cup (NFCC) that concluded on Friday at Multan's Qila Kuhna Qasim Bagh.

Both netted seven goals with the help of hat-trick while KESC's playmaker Essa, who scored all his four goals in 8-0 win over newly-inducted Bahawalpur's Ashraf Sugar Mills Limited, and Army's Imran Hussain, top scorer of 2005 PPFL, struck four goals to finish second. The 15-team event had produced 92 goals after the completion of 29 matches. Adeel Ahmed, who will attend AFC C-Certificate Football Coaching Course on the sideline of coming AFC U14 Festival of Football, was leading scorer in 2005 edition with nine goals that ended in triumph for Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL).
