The government has decided to move the clock forward by one hour for seven months, from April 1 to October 31, in order to mitigate the power shortage. A notification issued here Thursday said.

"In pursuance of the decision of the federal government in case No 36/05/2009 dated April 8, 2009, it is notified for the information of general public that watches, clocks be advanced/moved forward by one hour from 1st April 2010 till 31st October, 2010 (seven months) to mitigate the power shortages."
