"Though the corpses of the three top Taliban commanders Maulvi Faqir Muhammad, Qari Ziaur Rehman and Fateh Muhammad were not identified, adding that not a single militant, present in the hideouts came out alive," Rehman Malik told the media on Saturday. He said that the security forces had solid proof about the presence of the three commanders along with other militants in the hideouts, which meant they were killed.

During his visit to FC Headquarters in Peshawar, Malik revealed that the remaining handful of militants is on the run now and the forces will capture them soon. Malik said that the helicopters pounded the militants' compounds and killed them after receiving information about their presence.
