Pakistan and the United States reaffirmed their resolve to fight terrorism on Wednesday after a roadside bombing killed three American personnel and innocent Pakistanis in Lower Dir. Pakistan's ambassador in Washington Hussain Haqqani called US special envoy Richard Holbrooke and conveyed deepest condolences on the loss of American lives in the bombing incident.

Ambassador Holbrooke also condoled the loss of a Pakistani security official and innocent schoolchildren in the incident in the north-western region of the country. Pakistani security forces and the US-led security deployed in Afghanistan, are fighting Taliban and al Qaeda militants along the Pak-Afghan border.
