"China and Pakistan have chalked out future plan to strengthen the existing ties and widen their co-operation in other fields as well," said Fakhar Zaman. The visit was a good experience as it provided an excellent opportunity to the writers of both countries to meet each other and share their views, he added.
The chairman said that Chinese writers were invited to visit Pakistan to attend the International Writers Conference, which was scheduled to be held here in March 2010, adding that a big Chinese's delegation participation was expected in the conference.
The Pakistani writer's delegation arrived in China on January 15, 2010. During their 15-day stay there, the delegation visited different cities of China like Beijing, Xian, Huang Zhong, Shoo Shin and Shanghai and met with Chinese Writers besides other important personalities.
Fakhar Zaman informed that the delegation was welcomed warmly by different Chinese organisations like Chinese Writer's Association, Lu Xun Academy of Literature, Zhejiang Writer's Association and Shanghai Writer's Association.
He said that a proposal was also tendered to the Chinese literary organisations would hold an International Writers Conference. The Chinese writers, heads of literary organisations and officials representatives welcomed the idea of International Writers Conference and ensured that they would discus the proposal with the high-ups.
