No laxity by any revenue officer regarding the recovery of government dues and taxes would be tolerated and departmental action would be initiated against the field recovery staff and revenue officers showing poor performance during the recovery drive of government dues.

These views were expressed by the Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain during a meeting held here to review the progress on recovery of government dues in Jhang, Faisalabad, T. T. Singh and Chiniot districts. DORs, DDORs, Revenue officers were present in the meeting.

Commissioner Tahir Hussain directed the revenue officers to arrests the chronic defaulters of government dues and initiate legal actions against them, besides expediting the recovery drive. The meeting also reviewed individual recovery work of each revenue officer and the chair appreciated those officers who recovered 100percent of their target. Poor performers were directed to ensure 100 percent recovery within next two days.
