He further said that the appropriate display of these products would not only highlight their importance, but also attract the foreign investment in this sector, which in turn would benefit to producers as well as the country. He stated this during his brief meeting with a delegation of Jhang Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) here on Friday.
On this occasion the delegation also sought commissioner's help in developing JCCI on modern lines and the latter the commissioner assured them of his complete assistance in this regard. For this purpose, Commiss-ioner Tahir Hussain telephonically talked with various concerned officers of Punjab government for getting their required support to materialise both the ideas.
Furthermore, the commissioner maintained that the Punjab government was well aware of historical and cultural importance of District Jhang and would extend all-out co-operation to the people associated with all domestic industries producing cultural and other traditional products.
The commissioner assured the delegation that their representation would also be ensured in all educational and other institutions run by divisional and district administration in Jhang. The meeting also reviewed the pace of carpeting various roads of Jhang and also agreed in principle for establishment of industrial estate in Jhang as well. DCO Jhang Asad Islam Mahni, Director Development Dr Tariq Sardar, President Chamber Maqsood Sh, Sheikh Muhammad Younis and others were also present in the meeting.
