Secretary to Government of Sindh Culture Department, Shams Jafrani has said Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad would inaugurate the 266th Annual Urs celebrations of great saint poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA) on Saturday. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to be chief guest at the Shah Abdul Latif award distribution ceremony at concluding day of the Urs celebrations on 1st February.

This he informed while presiding over the meeting of 'Mella Organising Committee' held at Bhitshah Rest House here on Friday to give final touches to the arrangements/assignments entrusted to various sub-committees earlier. He said that foolproof security plan has been prepared and police personnel in hundreds have been called from other districts to help district police Matiari in implementing the security plan in letter and spirit.
