The Lahore High Court (LHC) here Friday disposed of a petition of Ijaz Momin Jee of PML (Momin), as superintendent camp jail said he had no objection to produce him before the returning officer. Momin Jee is presently jailed in a fraud case, who sought permission to contest by-election.

Petitioner submitted that he wants to contest by-election from NA-123 Lahore but the jail authorities were not allowing him to appear before returning officer for filing nomination as it was his constitutional right to contest elections. The court disposed of the petition when, superintendent camp jail appearing before the court said he had no objection to present the petitioner before returning officer.
