The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has apprehended an Indian fishing boat along with a crew of five for illegally fishing in Pakistani water. An announcement here on Friday said that the MSA was maintaining a continuous surveillance over Pakistani Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) to safeguard our maritime interests.

It said that during routine patrolling, the MSA apprehended an Indian fishing boat along with five crewmembers on January 28 from Pakistani EEZ. The apprehended crewmembers apparently seem to be fishermen, it was further stated. However, they were still being interrogated by concerned security organs to establish their exact identity and intent for operating in our waters. The announcement said that it was pertinent to mention that Indian fishermen continue to intrude into Pakistan's marine rich Indus Delta region to capture the high quality fish products.
