Three persons were killed and 4 others sustained serious injuries when unknown armed men opened fire at a group of Zaireen (pilgrims), here at Hazar Gunji Friday. The Zaireen were heading towards Iran. According to CCPO Ghulam Shabir Sheikh, the assailants targeted the Zaireen at Hazar Ganji, a busy bus stop, where they had stayed for sometime to rest.

As a result, 2 persons died on the spot and a woman succumbed to injuries at hospital, while four others sustained serious injuries. The assailants fled from the scene soon after the incident. Police have started investigation.
