National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has made special arrangements for registration of all disabled/special persons and all necessary instructions have been given to Nadra staff. This was stated in a press release issued from Nadra Provincial Headquarters, Sindh.

In this connection, a meeting with Jaffar Shah, Founder and Chairman, Apna Sahara International Trust and others trusts representatives was held at PHQ Karachi. DGM (Operations) Aqeel Ahmed Khalid was also present at the meeting.

In the meeting, the delegation raised various issues regarding special persons. Delegation requested that Nadra might provide additional facilities to special persons in order to facilitate their registration process.

Handout said that Nadra Karachi is already providing special facilities for processing of CNIC application for "Special Person" at Nadra centres, which include separate entry points for special persons, guidance/facilitation arrangements, availability of wheel chairs/ramps and above all, application processing by specially deputed staff. The delegation was comprised of Muhammad Javed Bandhani, President Apna Sahara International Trust, Muhammad Hussain, National Co-ordinator Blind Association, Madam Darakhshan, Chairman Darakhshan Trust and Muhammad Suhail, correspondent from MADAWA Welfare Society.-PR
