Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said President Asif Ali Zardari is President of Pakistan, therefore, he will welcome him at the airport whenever he comes to Lahore again. "Had I been in Lahore, I would have welcomed President Zardari on his latest visit to the provincial capital," he added. Shahbaz was talking to newsmen on his return from Turkey and Britain here on Friday.

He said, "my visit to Turkey was scheduled months ago and it had no link with President Zardari's visit to Lahore. He is President of Pakistan and he may visit any place he wishes to," he added. Shahbaz has said democracy is aimed at service to the masses and supremacy of law and constitution.

My visit to Turkey has been very successful and will result in promotion of economic and political ties. He said a number of agreements were signed for bilateral co-operation in various sectors between Turkey and Punjab during his visit, which will leave a positive impact on the development of the province.
