"The government had always honoured the decision of the Supreme Court," he pointed, adding, "We have not come into power through any back door but with public mandate." He averred all the political parties would be taken along on issues and to a query pointed Aitzaz Ahsan was a significant leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and he was often consulted on legal matters. He was also consulted on NRO, Gilani added. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the matter of judges' appointments would be resolved under the Constitution and law.
