The three-day rituals of 770th Urs of Sheikh-ul-Islam Hazrat Bahauddin Zikriya began in Multan on Thursday (yesterday). The Urs rituals began with washing of tomb offered by Sajjada Nasheen of tomb and foreign minister Makhdoon Shah Mehmood Qureshi. During the first day of rituals, he laid "Chaddar" to open the 770th Urs ceremonies.

The pilgrims were invited to ponder on the verses of holy Quran while the religious scholars discussed the religious and spiritual services of Saint Bahauddin Zikriya. The Urs rites will remain continue till January 23.
