The Lahore High Court while disposing of a suo motu proceedings on a letter from one Malik Tabarak Hussain has directed SSP Rawalpindi to register a case against the respondents on the request of the applicant. The applicant had written a letter to Chief Justice for looking to the matter and sought directions against SHO Margla police station for registration of a criminal case against the accused who killed his guard.

He contended that an inquiry about a property dispute between him and Malik Riaz and Haji Nawaz Khokhar was being held at sessions court. On January 9 some unknown persons attacked on his vehicle as a result of which his guard was killed on the spot and a DSP was also injured. He said police instead of arresting the accused registered a criminal case against him. The chief justice after converting his letter to a petition and sent it to Justice Ijaz Chaudhry for its disposal in accordance with the law.
