Modest trading was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Tuesday as needy traders indulged in forward buying cereals and rice, dealers said. On the cereals side moong Sindh gained Rs 100 to Rs 6375, masoor Canada followed the suit and rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8500.

Masoor dal, however, shed Rs 10 to Rs 10010 and wheat with Bardana shed Rs 5 to Rs 2675, Khandsari was up by Rs 500 to Rs 7000, other items maintained the overnight levels, they added. On the rice side Basmati 386 new low type was down by Rs 300 to Rs 4000 and best quality was lower by Rs 200 to 4200, they said. On the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type was down by Rs 1060 while the good types was unchanged at Rs 1080, they said.
