A waxwork of US First Lady Michelle Obama went on display at London's Madame Tussauds tourist attraction on Tuesday, to mark the first anniversary of her husband taking office. A model of Barack Obama was installed a year ago at the famous waxwork museum, and his wife is joining him for a "limited period" to mark the January 20 anniversary.

"We are thrilled that Michelle is joining Barack in the attraction to celebrate an historic year in office," said a spokeswoman, describing the "painstaking" recreation of the Oval Office for the First Couple models.
