Wattan Party has filed the petition again before the Supreme Court after removing objection raised by the office submitting that president of Pakistan has constitutional immunity for proceedings against him before any court of law. He said under Article 248 of the constitution no court of law in the country could proceed against the President.

He contended that President could only be impeached through parliament only. He, therefore, prayed to the court to declare illegal and unconstitutional the Supreme Court orders reopening the cases against the President of Pakistan and directing the government to move against him in and out side the country.
