The government should clear its position before the Parliament and nation as far as the judges appointment or elevation is concerned," he said while addressing the session of National Assembly. He said that his party had grave concern over government's interference in the affairs of judiciary and delay in appointment of judges. "Some responsible people of the government have diverted the directions of their cannons toward a respectable institution of the country.
We will not allow the government to create confrontational atmosphere and to violate the constitution. The Opposition will never tolerate destruction of the system for the sake of one person (Asif Ali Zaradri) or institution," he said.
The opposition leader questioned as to why the government was not implementing the Supreme Court's judgement in its letter and spirit. About Rental Power Plants (RPPs), Nisar demanded of the Prime Minster to take action on the audit report of Asian Development Bank. He said as per the report, many anomalies had been made in RPPs agreement. "The Prime Minister should give a clear message by taking action against those involved in the irregularities," he said.
He urged the government to take strong and bold stance regarding the blockade of Pakistan's water by India. Regarding the allegations levelled against him by MNA Raza Hayat Haraj of PML-Q, Nisar said that first he was answerable to Allaha and then the people of Pakistan. "If he has any proof against me, he should present it in the house," he said.
Captain Saffdar (Retd) of PML-N said that Raza Hayat Haraj during a meeting with Mian Nawaz Shairf had talked against his party leader, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. "In the last presidential election, he (Raza Haraj) did not vote to his party's candidate Mushahid Hussain Syed, but voted for former Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, the PML-N candidate," he claimed.
Raiz Hussain Pirzada of PML-Q also criticised the government for its poor governance. He regretted that the government failed to present the accountability bill in the parliament even two years after coming into power. He said the President should not indulge in public meetings and not give statement against the institutions of the country.
