President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the demise of renowned educationist and intellectual Professor Khwaja Masud. The President in a message paid rich tributes to Professor Masud for his contributions in the field of literature and education. He described Khwaja Masud as a renowned thinker and activist and said in his death Pakistan had suffered a great loss and left behind a void that would be hard to fill.

The president prayed to Allah Almighty to shower His blessings on the departed soul and grant courage to his family and thousands of his students and readers to bear this loss with equanimity.
