Federal Review Board (FRB) comprising three judges of the Supreme Court has extended detention of 47 foreign nationals including five women for next 90 days and directed government to ensure their early deportation to their respective countries. These foreigners were convicted in different offences and were spending their jail term.

They were supposed to be released after the expiry of their sentences but since the government had not finalised arrangements for their deportation, it moved to review Board seeking extension in their detention under Security of Pakistan Act. These foreigners include 33 Indians, 11 Nepali, Yemeni and Sudanese while three hail from Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
